While this deck can be seen as predicated on going first: there are enough hand traps, negation, and routes to get to the boss monsters that going second and dealing with early combo negates doesn't have to be a death sentence. If going first, the key is to get to your monsters that have the ability to stop Special Summons (ie: D/D/D Wave High King Caesar), eliminate your opponent's back row (Kali Yuga), or even just outright negate spell effects (High Flame King Genghis).
