You run 3 copies of your hieratic effect monsters, because they can be easy to get out and when they're tributed you can special summon a normal monster from your hand, deck or gy. Personally I play saffira because you tribute a monster to get it out, so if a hieratic is tributed you can summon labradorite dragon and either summon ultimaya or king of atum. Saffira also has the effect if a light monster (all hieratics are light) was tributed for it's ritual summon, during the end phase you can either, draw 2 cards and discard 1, discard one random card from your opponents hand, or add 1 light monster from your gy to your hand. The ritual spell also helps you protect saffira, if it would be destroyed by a battle or card effect, you can banish it instead. To get both saffira and the ritual spell in your hand you can use pre-preparation of rites, to add 1 ritual spell from the deck, then add 1 ritual monster from the deck or gy which name is listed on the ritual spell. Dragard can summon a normal monster from the gy when normal summon, then you can tribute any dragon-type, then target one card on the field and make it's level 8, so if you summon hieratic seal of the sun dragon overload with it's effect, then tribute a hieratic monster and make itself level 8 and get labradorite dragon on the field because you tributed, now you can xyz summon a rank 8 with dragard and sun dragon overload. Artillary catapult turtle can tribute any monster one the field to summon a level 5 dragon from hand or deck. If a hieratic is tributed you both get hieratic dragon of eset and a normal monster of your choice on the field. Hieratic dragon of eset has the effect that your can target a face-up dragon-type normal monster and make all your hieatic monsters the same level as the normal monster, so after you get both your eset and your level 6 or 8 normal monster on the field with the effect of artillary catapult turtle, you can use esets effect so you either have 2 level 6 or 8 monsters on the field. Piercing the darkness lets you draw a card once per turn when you summon a normal monster, since it's a continuous spell and you more or less summon a normal monster every turn, your can draw 2 cards every turn. Celestial observatory let you return a level 6 monster to the button of the deck to draw 2 cards, so you send saffira (which is a level 6) if it's in your hand without the ritual spell, or if you have 2 Tefnuit in the hand since you only can use it's effect once per turn.
