This deck is based on the one that Joey Wheeler used during the second season and the second half of the third season of the Duel Monsters (first series) anime.
Note: If you are playing by the anime rules, remove 1 "Flame Manipulator" card, 1 "Masaki, The Legendary Swordsman" card, 1 "Guardian Of The Labyrinth" card, 1 "Protector Of The Throne" card, and 1 "Fusion Gate" card and move 1 "Flame Swordsman" card and 1 "Giltia, The Dark Knight" card from the extra deck to the main deck. The reason for this is that, in the anime, Flame Swordsmen and Giltia, The Dark Knights are normal monsters, not fusion monsters.
