Plunder/Tear Theory Crafting
Deck Primer
This deck is probablly bad. However, I do enjoy making dumb things, so here we go.
I like plunder and think that the resource loop as well as lockless interaction on the opponents turn seems to add harder negates and such to tear which at is very fluid but sometimes may need something extra. Plunder negates, shuffling back plunders for lys fusion, using blackbeard to tag things out, just a lot of little incidental synergies I think might be interesting to explore.
Firstly, card reasoning. Tear is brazy so no explanation there. I cut down the package a little because I want to try and fit a slightly more robust plunder lineup. Dangers are here for extra bodies, interaction, and just generally more ways to get plunder/tear moving. Decided to stick with the four stars only for extra opportunities for dweller or bagoozka as needed. Perlieno is expensive and I don't own it so would only buy one. You can defintley mix numbers around, cut dangers for ishizu, etc etc. However, this is where I am at.
Secondly, why this. I think this legit does have something decks right now not might have, which is hard negates with BEEG MONSTA's. Plunder was always weird due to handtraps. However, way less handtraps now, plus the fact that you can still use the plunder portion of the deck under abyss dweller and shifter seems kind of neat.
Third, what can this do? Currently still in the hard idea phase here, but for example: xenolock into plunders on your turn, get a blackbeard on board with a plunder in hand at the very least. Say you have one more tear in hand. Activate blackbeard to tag into a ship on their turn, no xenolock, so you just get to play the entire deck(just keep track of whitebeard as that's the one hard lock on your opponents turn you have). Cartesia is an infinite fusion loop, so why not have that for lys as well for another option! also, instant fusion for mudragon is a water 4 star that does stuff, so another great addition to the toolbox. Yes floo is scary cause of wind, but that's why we have everything else.
I'm still playing around with this for funsies, but feel free to krib this and make something actually good and lmk how it goes, would love to see if plunder can hang before windship!
