Predaplant Branded serve as Branded Despia's little sibling living in it's shadow. While Branded Despia can relies on Mighty, easy-to-summon beatsticks and resource advantage, Predaplant Branded creates multi-negate boards that most decks would have great difficulty breaking.
On top of that, Predaplant can search out ANY fusion spell! Missing Branded Fusion in your hand? Search for it! Want that pesky 1-of Instant Fusion spell for Winda? Search for it! Want to break your opponen'ts board with Super Poly? Search for it!
While arguably slightly weaker and less consistent than it's mighty meta friend Branded Despia, Predaplant offers a interesting and unique gameplay - Representing the pinnacle of combo fusion summoning!

ARCHETYPES, ENGINES AND DECKBUILDING
This deck is synergistic combination of fusion focused archetypes to support the main Predaplant strategy. The Branded and Edge Imp engine add additional consistency, power and starters.
- Forming the deck's core strategy, Predaplant cards consist of 11 cards.
3 Byblisp, 2 Chlamydosundew, 1 Orphys Scorpio, 1 Darlingtonia Cobra, 1 Bufolicula, 1 Triantis, 1 Instant Fusion and 1 Staysailor Romarin. In the Extra Deck there are 1 Ambulomelides, 2 Dragostapelia, 1 Triphyoverutum, 1 Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon and 1 Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
- Assisting the main strategy, the Branded/Despia cards in the Main Deck consist of 13 cards:
2 Tragedy, 2 Aluber, 1 Ad Libitum, 3 Branded Fusion, 2 Branded Opening, 1 Branded Banishment and 1 Branded in Red. In the Extra Deck there are 2 Albion, 2 Lubellion, 1 Mirrorjade and 1 Masquerade.
- Facilitating additional fusion plays and hand advantage for discards, the Edge Imp engine in the maindeck consists of 8 cards:
3 Frightfur Patchwork, 3 Edge Imp Chain and 2 Polymerization.
- The boardbreaker cards and staples consist of 8 cards:
2 Super Polymerization (and it's Extra Deck targets), 2 Evenly Matched and 1 Harpie's Feather Duster. Fairy Tail Snow serves as an additional light target/discard fodder for Branded Fusion. 1 Foolish Burial and 2 Called By the Grave help your plays plays get through handtraps.
COMBOS AND GAMEPLAN
Predaplant Branded has a very similar gameplan to a pure Branded deck. While Pure Branded maintains hand advantage and easily generates giant beatsticks, Predaplant takes that a step further. Predaplant makes bigger boards that are more difficult to break, and it trades Banishment/Destruction interruption for straight up monster/omni negates. A multi-negate Predaplant board is created through a non-linear combo which can somewhat play through interruption. (Ash on Branded Fusion still stops you cold however!)
Generally, no matter what hand, most Predaplant Branded combo starts with the following steps:
- Gain access to Branded Fusion. (Predaplant can search the card from deck by Orphys Scorpio, normal summoned or summoned from deck by Ambulomelides).
- Activate Branded Fusion for Albion, sending Albaz + Staysailor.
- CL1 Staysailor to send Byblisp from deck, CL2 Albion to fuse for Lubellion, banishing a dark monster and Albaz from field/GY.
- CL1 Byblisp to search for either Orphys Scorpio (If you can't normal summoned yet) or Bufolicula (additional fusion summon), CL2 Lubellion to fuse for either Mirrorjade (interruption) or Ambulomelides (more resources).
- Depending on your hand, the monsters on your field and GY set-up, you fuse the rest of the monsters in your field and hand to summon Predaplant boss monsters. The end result field varies by situation/hand, but its usually any combination of Mirrorjade, Dragostapelia, Triphyoverutum, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and a set Spell/Trap Fusion interruption like Super Poly, Branded in Red and Branded Banishment.
- If you already have Bufolicula in your hand, it is ideal to search Triantis with Ambulomelides. Fusing Bufolicula + Triantis + 1 more dark monster on the field to create Triphyoverutum distributes Predaplant counters on the field raising up Triphyoverutum attack to astronomical levels for an OTK.
- If you have multiple leftover fusion monsters on field (Albion, Lubellion, Ambulomelides, Mudragon, Chimera), they are ideal material for Predaplant Dragostapelia and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.

The board your opponent will have to deal with will have an omni-negate, Extra Deck summon negate, monster negate and set spell/trap interruption. Your hand and GY should also have enough follow-up for OTK next turn, should your board be cleared by your opponent.

GENERAL TIPS
- Ash Blossom on Branded Fusion still stops your mainline combo in its tracks! Try to bait out the Ash/Interruption as much as possible - then use Branded Fusion.
- In order for Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon's omni-negate to be live, it needs a monster on field with a predator counter. Predator counters are distributed by using Triantis as fusion material. Or even better, use Dragostapelia to give your opponent's monster a predator counter, then tribute it as cost!
- There are 8 flex spots in this deck where staples are used. My preferred strategy in Masterduel's Bo1 format is using board breakers so I can play the game. These 8 flex spots can be filled with any card you like however, like handtraps such as Maxx "C" or draw cards like Allure of Darkness.
- If you are going first and have access to Instant Fusion (Remember, Orphys Scorpio and Darlington Cobra searches any fusion card) + Branded Opening, you can summon Winda and effectively bypass Instant Fusion's self-destruct effect by having your spent Branded Opening in the GY!
- This deck has many routes to the same endboard result. One combo guide cannot do the complexity of this deck justice. I highly recommend practicing for yourself how this deck works and you'll see what I mean!
